Morning Prayer

Join us in the sanctuary for Morning Prayer on Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:15 am. If you’re on your way to work, school, or running errands and you’d like to join us in prayer, please feel welcome. You do not need to be affiliated with Mount Zion Lutheran Church to stop by and join us. We look forward to seeing you.

Who: Whoever shows up and is in need of prayer. Please come join us whether regularly or whenever you feel the need.

When: Tuesday to Friday @ 7:15 AM.  We will get you on the road to where you are going by 7:30 AM.

Where: Mt. Zion Sanctuary

Why: The life of a Christian begins with prayer. A Congregation’s life is fed and sustained by communal prayer and worship.

What can I expect?

A simple service of prayer where the gathered can start their day with a focus upon the LORD and seek his providence and guidance in the company of others with the same needs. We will use/follow The Treasury of Daily Prayer which is available from Concordia Publishing House, but that book is not necessary to join. Some copies will be made available locally.  The service will consistently have a call to prayer, a daily reading from the New Testament and a time of communal prayer and petition. It might occasionally have a very short reflection or a hymn.  If you are regular, you would hear most of the New Testament in a year.
